Searching, Viewing and Commenting on Planning Applications, Submission of Pre-Applications and Enforcement Queries
This site includes only those records which the Borough Council hold electronically and is not therefore a complete database of all information held by the Council. Please do not rely on information from this site as an alternative to traditional searches where completeness of information is essential. While the Borough Council takes great care to ensure that the information provided on this site is accurate, we cannot accept any liability or responsibility should you rely on the information provided and ultimately find it to have been incorrect. The Borough Council will not be held responsible for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused as a result of any inaccuracy or error within these pages.
Until we are satisfied that personal information held on applications prior to 2014 has been removed, we will only display the decision notice, officer reports and drawings on all determined applications. Other documents will be released once checked.
Please Note: Any views expressed in any of the documents are not necessarily the views of the Borough Council unless stated. The Borough Council also reserves the right not to publish all or parts of documents submitted in connection with a planning application.

Plans, drawings and material submitted to the council are protected by the copyright acts (Section 47, 1988 Act). You may only use material which is downloaded and/or printed for consultation purposes, to compare current applications with previous schemes and to check whether developments have been completed in accordance with approved plans. Further copies must not be made without prior permission of the copyright owner.

Planning Applications
The Borough Council as Local Planning Authority is required to publish application information on the Statutory Planning Register which is made available on this website. We will however, make every effort to remove personal details such as phone numbers, email addresses and signatures (except business) prior to the information appearing on this website. The applicants name and address form part of the register and will appear on the website.
Any comments made on planning applications will appear on the website and, as such, the Local Planning Authority has a duty to make this information available for public inspection (in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government Access to Information Act (1985). The Borough Council will make every effort to remove personal details such as telephone numbers, email addresses and signatures prior to the information appearing on this website. We also reserve the right to withhold from publication on this website any comments or parts of comments not considered suitable for public view for reasons including offensive or personal content.
Please Note: Only comments provided in writing with a name and address will be taken into account when deciding a planning application. Once an application is determined, any comments made on that application will be removed from the public website and will only be reappear for a limited period if an appeal is lodged and until that is decided. Pre-Application Advice and Freedom of Information Requests
All pre-application discussions will be treated in confidence although some information may need to be shared with others to process your request.

Planning Enforcement
If you notify us of a possible breach of planning control, your details are always treated as confidential however, some information may need to be shared in order to process the request.
